Corria o ano de 1996, e as primeiras composições assinadas pelo seu líder, Gruff Rhys, denunciavam já uma esperança de vida superior à da intitulada britpop. À multitude de referências e voracidade experimental de álbuns como Guerrilla ou Mwng seguiu – se o reconhecimento público, ao longo da última década, com Rings Around The World, Phantom Power ou Love Kraft, os quais consagraram os SFA como headliners em Glastonbury.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="195" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/wwr6c2Ws1yI" width="325"&gt;&lt;/iframe&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Em 2005, Gruff Rhys editou em nome próprio Yr Atal Genhedlaeth, um conjunto de composições interpretadas em galês, que reafirmavam a sua identificação com o legado cultural da região onde cresceu. Porém, o que não passava de uma primeira aventura a solo, tornou – se rapidamente num objecto de culto, tendo a imprensa aclamado a sua esquizofrenia pop, pontuado de elementos electrónicos. Um álbum que pelas múltiplas texturas sonoras que contempla,  dele emergindo um compromisso entre a electrónica e a pop em registo  lo-fi, foi já apontado pela imprensa norte-americana como o natural&lt;span class="text_exposed_show"&gt;  sucessor de Logos, dos Atlas Sound. A sua obstinada dedicação ao projecto  Foxes In Fiction tem resultado na contínua edição de um volume  assinalável de composições, dispersas por diversos singles e EP’s ou  disponibilizadas no seu blog. Ainda assim, o simples facto de ter excluído de todo o processo o seu irmão Matthew, recorrendo à produção de &lt;a href="http://ericbroucek.com/ericbroucek/main.html" style="color: #cccccc;"&gt;Erik Broucek&lt;/a&gt; (DFA), denuncia uma necessidade de respirar de forma não assistida. Last Summer não é um tributo a Nova Iorque ou sequer um filme de Woody Allen. Não tem essa pretensão. Antes serve a urgência de Eleanor em se libertar das memórias que lhe estão associadas, num tal volume e detalhe que por vezes parecem não caber em cada verso. Após a gravação em ‘92 do EP “Patio”, surgiu a aclamação da crítica, particularmente de &lt;a href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/johnpeel/artists/g/gorkyszygoticmyn/"&gt;&lt;span style="color: #cccccc;"&gt;John Peel&lt;/span&gt;,&lt;/a&gt; que de imediato, dando eco a uma crescente expectativa, convidou a banda a gravar nos estúdios da BBC. Foi pela mão de &lt;a href="http://www.myspace.com/peterbroderick"&gt;Peter Broderick&lt;/a&gt; que, em 2006, a  jovem violoncelista integrou o projecto &lt;a href="http://www.myspace.com/horsefeathersmusic"&gt;Horse Feathers&lt;/a&gt;. Um ano mais  tarde, acompanharia Peter na sua aventura escandinava, passando a &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="text_exposed_hide" style="font-size: small;"&gt;...&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="text_exposed_show"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;fazer  parte das fileiras dos Efterklang. Ao longo de todo este percurso,  assinou as suas próprias composições, portadoras de uma rara beleza  melódica e pontuadas pela sua voz envolvente. Estas viriam a ser  reunidas em From the ground, primeiro longa-duração de Heather, álbum  que conta com a participação de alguns dos músicos mais reconhecidos de  Portland. De resto, é esta assumida opção dos Broderick em colaborar com  inúmeros músicos que não só enriquece o seu percurso, como permite  encontros como aquele que trará o reputado pianista germânico &lt;a href="http://www.myspace.com/nilsfrahm"&gt;Nils Frahm&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/span&gt;  &lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;ao Museu Nacional Machado de Castro. O seu virtuosismo na guitarra e a  forma como as suas composições se entrelaçam em ténues fios sobrepostos,  projecta cada vez mais o jovem escocês para a primeira divisão da  chamada &lt;i&gt;brit folk&lt;/i&gt;. Referências como Nick Drake ou Bert Jansch não são  estranhos ao imaginário de Dickson, pairando como fantasmas ao longo das  suas actuações. No entanto, a sua familiaridade com o trabalho de  Molina, e muito particularmente com o processo interpretativo da autora  argentina (na medida em que utiliza &lt;i&gt;loops&lt;/i&gt; de voz e guitarra), distancia  hoje o escocês da figura de um mero &lt;i&gt;singer songwriter&lt;/i&gt;. Nele encontramos composições envelhecidas pelo decurso de sucessivos Outonos, que parecem ter subsistido ao passar dos tempos, comportando mesmo amargurados traços de longas jornadas. Já a escrita surge-nos envolta num manto de sobriedade e maturidade, pontuada muitas vezes por uma agastada melancolia. E, no entanto, ...as suas autoras, &lt;b&gt;Johanna &lt;/b&gt;e &lt;b&gt;Miriam Eriksson Berhan&lt;/b&gt;, têm apenas 18 anos de idade.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;" /&gt;&lt;br style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;" /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"&gt;Nascidas em Estocolmo, gravaram as suas primeiras faixas quando ainda tinham 15 anos, lançando as mesmas no &lt;i&gt;myspace &lt;/i&gt;e assumindo a assinatura &lt;b&gt;Taxi Taxi!&lt;/b&gt; Seguiram-se as primeiras audições, os primeiros artigos em &lt;i&gt;blogs&lt;/i&gt;, e um crescente culto em torno das suas composições que lhes rendeu a curto prazo um significativo &lt;i&gt;airplay &lt;/i&gt;em diversas rádios suecas. Músico de formação clássica, percorreu na adolescência os territórios do &lt;i&gt;jazz&lt;/i&gt;, procurando um progressivo aperfeiçoamento da sua técnica ao piano. Este trajecto levou-o aos estúdios de gravação de históricos como &lt;b&gt;Alain Souchon&lt;/b&gt;, &lt;b&gt;Arthur H&lt;/b&gt; ou &lt;b&gt;Alain Chamfort&lt;/b&gt;, inicialmente como músico de sessão, e mais tarde acumulando as funções de produtor. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;" /&gt;&lt;br style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;" /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"&gt; No entanto, não se compadecendo com o anonimato, Albin inicia-se na composição, e em 2003 grava o seu primeira longa-duração, trabalho homónimo recebido com entusiasmo pela imprensa, que nele encontra traços de uma escrita cuidada na forma minimalista das suas composições, destacando-se a faixa &lt;b&gt;Elle Aime&lt;/b&gt;, gravada na companhia de &lt;b&gt;Leslie Feist&lt;/b&gt;, como que uma matriz do seu imaginário.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;" /&gt;&lt;br style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;" /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"&gt; Segue-se um segundo álbum, em 2005, intitulado &lt;b&gt;Je Vais Changer&lt;/b&gt;. De imediato, a imprensa antecipou a sua desistência e muitos temeram pelo fim do seu curto percurso. Porém, meses mais tarde, o regresso ao estúdio veio desmentir aquelas notícias, tendo então o autor escandinavo explicado o motivo de tal acto: com o produto da venda comprou uma passagem de avião para San Francisco, indo ao encontro de uma menina por quem se tinha enamorado dias antes. (*)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"&gt;O relato deste episódio serviria para uma qualquer faixa de &lt;b&gt;Jens Lekman&lt;/b&gt;. Do seu registo simultaneamente melancólico e tonto seríamos resgatados por uma secção de metais que nos conduziria através de um refrão contagiante (e por vezes dançável). Pontuada por elementos electrónicos, essa mesma faixa comportaria &lt;i&gt;samples &lt;/i&gt;de um qualquer &lt;i&gt;vinyl &lt;/i&gt;adquirido num mercado de Joanesburgo ou da cópia de &lt;b&gt;&lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graceland_%28album%29" target="_blank"&gt;Graceland&lt;/a&gt; &lt;/b&gt;que Jens escutou vezes sem conta ao longo da adolescência. A sua edição passaria então à margem de muitos, num mero EP de quatro faixas, num tributo a &lt;b&gt;Arthur Russell&lt;/b&gt; ou &lt;b&gt;Jonathan Richman&lt;/b&gt;, distribuída à porta de um dos seus cada vez mais raros concertos.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;br style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;" /&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;b&gt;Jens Lekman&lt;/b&gt; é um músico especial. Por vezes, causa-nos até um certo embaraço, de cada vez que escutamos um dos seus poemas. Ora faz-se acompanhar em palco de um mero &lt;i&gt;ukelele&lt;/i&gt; como traz consigo uma orquestra formada por seis louras escandinavas, e ainda assim, qualquer que seja a formação, nunca a sua relação com o público se torna distante. Sempre foi cúmplice e próxima... paciente até nos e-mails que faz questão de responder pessoalmente.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"&gt;Após a edição de &lt;b&gt;Night Falls Over Kortedalla&lt;/b&gt;, em 2007, raras têm sido as ocasiões em que pisou os palcos. Revelando-se avesso a sucessivos meses de estrada, com a pressão de encenar algo celebratório todas as noites, preferiu afastar-se e rascunhar o seu próprio roteiro. Nos últimos meses passou por Seul, Sidney e Los Angeles. Encontramo-lo ao longo das próximas semanas em São Paulo, Coritiba e Buenos Aires. Ao longo da primeira faixa de &lt;b&gt;Sea Lion&lt;/b&gt;, o fundador dos &lt;a href="http://www.myspace.com/therubysuns" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;b&gt;The Ruby Suns&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/a&gt; relata-nos a desventura de um solitário pinguim azul, que afastado da sua colónia, se encontra à deriva, ao sabor das inconstantes ondas do Pacífico Sul, o mesmo Pacífico que segundo McPhun trará ambos de volta a casa.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;" /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"&gt;Nascido na cidade de Ventura, California, McPhun cedo partiu para distantes paragens, rumando ao Quénia, seguindo-se a Tailândia e finalmente a Nova Zelândia. Ali conheceu Amee Robinson e juntos fundaram o projecto &lt;b&gt;The Ruby Suns&lt;/b&gt;, inicialmente denunciando uma irreversível atracção pelo legado de &lt;b&gt;Brian Wilson&lt;/b&gt;, tendo no entanto rapidamente evoluído para um combo tropicalista do qual nada é deixado de fora. &lt;b&gt;Sea Lion&lt;/b&gt;, o seu segundo álbum de originais, aclamado pela imprensa ao longo de 2008, cruza a pop solarenga dos &lt;b&gt;Beach Boys&lt;/b&gt; e dos &lt;b&gt;Animal Collective&lt;/b&gt; com os ritmos e vibrantes vocalizações da África Austral, cabendo ainda neste melting pop uma marcada componente electrónica e alguns traços de noise ou psicadelismo.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;" /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"&gt;Os seus concertos são marcados por uma rara efervescência, como que espontâneos exercícios de contagiante inclusão. À percussão de &lt;b&gt;Logan Kroeber&lt;/b&gt; sobrepõe-se a voz de &lt;b&gt;Meric Long&lt;/b&gt;, e naqueles momentos iniciais surge-nos um rascunho de &lt;b&gt;Visiter&lt;/b&gt;, traçado de forma errática e convulsiva, feito de sobressaltos e de repentismo. O seu primeiro ensaio, encontramo-lo em &lt;b&gt;Dodo Bird&lt;/b&gt;, um EP editado por Meric em 2006, que à data passou indiferente pela imprensa e por todos aqueles que hoje escutam atentamente as suas composições. É nesse mesmo EP que surgem os princípios deste projecto, traçados sobre formas depuradas, como se de meras “demos” se tratassem.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;"&gt;É no seguimento desse mesmo EP que surgem os &lt;a href="http://www.myspace.com/thedodos" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;b&gt;The Dodos&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/a&gt;, no preciso momento em que Meric convida Logan Kroeber a acompanhá-lo em palco, conferindo a esses primeiros rascunhos uma nova dimensão, acrescentando-lhes bateria e backing vocals, e fazendo emergir uma tensão entre os dois músicos que conseguiram transpor do palco para as gravações de Visiter.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;"&gt;Editado, em 2008, pela &lt;a href="http://www.frenchkissrecords.com/" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;b&gt;Frenchkiss Records&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/a&gt;, este álbum atinge em faixas como Ashley ou Jodi a síntese perfeita entre a marca mais folk de Meric e contexto rock em que Logan cresceu como músico, projectando para o palco actuações de uma rara intensidade.
